Then this one is inside again and this building is a bit darker, but you can see the TV and here it’s really full because it’s a lot of people and almost all of us were already there. We can see, we watched TV from four o’clock when we get there to eight o’clock. Then at eight o’clock they take us to the dorms. Before that we cannot go to the dorms.
So you sit around in this place between four and eight?
And then this one?
And this is the roof from the window and well I think I should have taken the picture a bit higher up, but then the thing is what I wanted to take was a picture of some little dogs, some puppies that were here. Four little puppies, really nice ones and I wanted to take a picture of them but by the time I took the picture they had left. They’re not in the picture.
So this picture of the roof is the picture of the dogs that were no longer there? And then this one of the landscape, what do you like about this landscape?
What is this like looking out of a window?
Oh, that is the window right across from the bathrooms where you go to the toilet and this across from it is what you would see across the street. And you can see this building that is downtown. So it’s a nice view of the building of the downtown.
So why did you take that picture?
Because it’s such a pretty landscape with the building.
And there’s other pictures of the people there sitting in this waiting room and you’re thinking very hard! With your arms around your head… what are you thinking?
No, I was just watching TV. Here the next picture is of the TV. So that’s the TV I was watching. So, he took a picture of me watching the TV. It’s strange to see my picture here... So now we see the whole chapel with the TV and the cross and the founder and the light is better here. We can see more things here.
And do you think that praying or being in a chapel like this or in church helps you?
Oh yes, every time when I wake up I pray to God and I pray to God that... then there’s this pictures. I don’t know who that is but I think he’s the founder of this place, it’s the poster that they have of him in the chapel.
Now the next ones are when we got in. That is the room with the chapel, with the chairs, so that’s where we go in and wait. That’s where we just gather and wait here before going to the dorms. So here, in the next pictures we will see more. In this one you don’t see much but on the next ones you can see there’s more people and that’s where we gather and sit and wait. So, this is the place where we gather. We take our shoelaces and our belt off and we give them to the person in charge and we sit and wait so here, this is the chapel.
This is the hall of the shelter. It is dark, like the moment we are in now: narrow and kind of dark, and of out of focus, and we don’t know exactly where to go. It is a critical moment in life that is blurry, like this picture is blurry.
